Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering :
AINSE - ANSTO's R&D Interface

The Australian Institute of Nuclear Science and Engineering was established in 1958 along with the nuclear reactor at Lucas Heights. It is through AINSE that ANSTO (and formerly the AAEC) interface with universities and industry for nuclear and related scientific research. All universities across Australia, except two small uni's, are active members of AINSE. The Institute is very active in the application of nuclear techniques in many diverse fields, and actively facilitates much of the research effort in this regard across Australia. Obviously, they are ardent supporters of the proposed new Research Reactor for Lucas Heights, and for the application of nuclear science and engineering.
