Miscellaneous Uranium Prospects in Queensland

Skal - Anderson's Lode - Twoges - Robert Heg - Monakoff


Skal - Mt Isa Region

Exporation lease, only 10 km from the Valhalla prospect owned by Resolute Ltd and Summit Resources NL. Originally discovered in March 1954, it's finders were given a $10,000 reward from the Commonwealth (1), under the same program that the reward for finding Rum Jungle, NT.


Anderson's Lode - Mt Isa Region

Small prospect in the same vicinity as Skal, Valhalla and Westmoreland. Now controlled by Resolute Ltd and Summit Resources NL in their new exploration Joint Venture at Valhalla.


Twoges - Townsville Region

A small prospect near Maureen and Newcastle Range, in northern Queensland, approximately 300 km directly inland from Townsville. The uranium is low grade at 0.03% to 0.1%, with tonnage about 500 to 1,500 tonnes (U). A Proterozoic age deposit, formed through volcanism.

Robert Heg - Mt Isa Region

A small prospect about 130 km south-east of Mt Isa. Although detailed exploration had intersected 11 m of mineralised rock containing uranium at 0.93%, the exploration was not complete. The prospect is owned by the Paladin Resources and Black Range Minerals Joint Venture.


Monakoff - Mt Isa Region

A small prospect about 140 km east of Mt Isa. Details unknown - listed in the Great Artesian Basin Resource Study (2). Supposedly a copper-gold-silver-uranium mineral occurrence.
