The Beverley Uranium deposit is located on the plains between the northern Flinders Ranges and the north-western Lake Frome plains, approximately 600 km north of Adelaide and 300 km north-east of Port Augusta.Detailed directions (see map below) :
- make your way to Belcanoona, the office and headquarters of the Gammon Ranges National Park (either head directly east from Copley or north-east up from Hawker or Wilpena Pound);
- from Belcanoona, head north-east on the road to Wooltana and Moolawatana stations - be careful, the intersections of the roads near Belcanoona can be confusing - READ THE SIGNS!!!;
- continue heading north past Wooltana homestead, and past Paralana Creek - the plant should be readily visible to the left (west) towards the Gammon Ranges (so much for little visual impact from ISL mines!);
- about 5-7 km past Paralana Creek, there will be a road to the left, immediately after the creek - TURN LEFT FOR BEVERLEY.
- Be sure to stop for plenty of photos!
- Above all else, HAVE FUN!!! And no violence please - the anti-nuclear/environment movement is based on the principles of Non-Violent Direct Action (NVDA).
- TAKE PLENTY OF PETROL TOO - the distances to the nearest petrol station can be deceptive (nearest is Arkaroola, Copley and Blinman to the south).
