544 Sedimentary Uranium NL (AUS) Now known as Sedimentary Holdings Ltd (1), this is a uranium and gold exploration company with an authorised capital of 100 million 20 cent shares (2).
It was exploring throughout 1981 on the company's Yarramba uranium prospect (80% owned), with Mines Administration (6.6%), Teton Exploration (6.6%) and Carpentaria Exploration (6.6%) (3). This borders on the Honeymoon prospect; it is also known as East Kalkaroo. Inferred reserves in 1982 were put at 2000 tonnes of U3O8 (4). The company said it wanted to use the same in-situ leaching process which was severely criticised at Honeymoon (2). A protracted legal dispute in 1982 slowed exploration and, by March 1983, the prospect was still being "assessed" (5).
