The Australian Nuclear Association Inc. was formed in the 1980's (?) as a quasi-science association to promote the alleged benefits of nuclear technology, with a particular emphasis on the application of nuclear science and the eventual realisation of nuclear power within Australia. They have typically had the most vociferous of Australia's pro-nuclear advocates and lobbyists as Presidents, with current incumbent Dr Clarence Hardy no different.Since 1995, they have been quite active in organising conferences on "Nuclear Science and Engineering in Australia", and joining other pro-nuke groups in Australia to facilitate whatever they can out of this current federal government.
