Gunson Resources Ltd is a relatively new exploration company, having successfully listed on the Stock Exchange in May 2000 after being divested from Stuart Petroleum NL (formerly Stuart Metals NL). Gunson Resources and are active mainly in central South Australia, just south-west of Woomera, as well as having other projects around Australia. They are funded largely by Billiton (now BHP Billiton), and their prestige project is around the former Mt Gunson copper mines (from where they get their name).
