Acclaim Exploration NL

Acclaim Exploration NL (AENL) is a small Perth exploration house. During 1996 and early 1997, Acclaim Exploration went about buying up as many old and expired uranium leases as it could find throughout WA. It then founded Acclaim Uranium NL (AUNL) as a subsidiary on May 15, 1997, and sold some of these uranium interests to AUNL. They later listed Acclaim Uranium on the stockmarket on November 6, 1997, retaining a 30% shareholding. All AENL’s uranium work is now through AUNL, although AENL still hold the majority of the uranium exploration leases. AENL’s share price has plummeted from $0.04 in May 1998 to less than $0.01 in November 1998. Both Acclaim companies have been almost entirely segregated now and operate with complete independence (except socially of course) - although they still share the same office space and phone numbers. Acclaim Exploration have very quietly and efficiently sold virtually their entire 30% interest in Acclaim Uranium NL by August 2000 (see above shareholding data).

Acclaim Exploration recently acquired the tenements for the Wingellina Nickel project in eastern WA, a large and high-grade nickel deposit discovered in the 1960s. Their remaining exploration focus elsewhere in WA continues to be on gold and base metals. Their appears to be no desire to venture into uranium again - although given the director's links remaining, if the money is possible (ignore how probable), Acclaim may again make their move.
